Washing Dark Coloured Cotton Sarees

It’s very simple to wash a cotton saree, which is one of the most known ethnic wear for women the best way to do that is by hand washing it, so that it doesn’t wear out. But in case it’s a dark colored cotton saree then extra precautions need to be taken. It’s because dark coloured cotton sarees bleed and the fades out. In order to avoid that it’s important to wash them separately. It will also prevent the colour from entering into other light coloured clothes.

For better colour protection add some salt to the bucket you soak your kashmiri saree in. Air drying the saree in the shade will help retain the colour. How to Iron Cotton Clothes

Being a tough fabric, it is very hard to iron cotton even at high a temperature. Hence it is recommended to iron a cotton fabric inside out which will reduce the crease on the outside. It needs to be ironed both ways because it’s a stubborn fabric and creases easily even after a good ironing session. In order to avoid this you need to put cotton fabrics in a sturdy and dense hangers.

Extra Tip
